May Be

I've been doing some drawing...

Here's the final Krang Tha DJ piece I did for the ACME Superstore BOSS KRANG art exhibit in Longwood, Florida that opened April 25:

The show runs til June 26, so there's still time to go check out the other cool pieces they have there. They even got the original Krang voice actor Pat Fraley for a dope cartoon video spot, sooo.

I did this Vision piece for The Avengers Group Show that A Shop Called Quest in Claremont, California put on May 2nd. My original art, as well as the originals from the other participating artists, can be seen at the shop until July 11.

I've been doing some shows. Here's some recent sketches from them:

And some other recent commissions:

And as an added bonus #tbt here's a cover to a fan comic I started concepting a few years ago that I'd like to finish at some point. Ghost in a Halfshell:

Here are the upcoming shows I have planned:

May23-24 - Spectrum Fantastic Art, Kansas City, MO
June 13 - KC Public Library Con, Kansas City, MO
June 19-21 - Heroes Con, Charlotte, NC
August 7-9 - Kansas City Comicon, KC

Oh, whusuh.

I'm surfacing to let you know that TASK FORCE RAD SQUAD #3 is now available for digital download at our usual name-your-own-dang-price. You can get it from our Gumroad site HERE. Tell all your homies and loved ones and people closest to you in your life about it. Tell your pets. Here's the cover for it:

Here're several GIFs proclaiming the message. Feel free to spread these around the internet like an air-borne radical disease that everyone cool should catch:

Here's the inks and bw for a piece I did for the BOSS KRANG art show that will be at the ACME Superstore in Longwood, Florida, starting April 25. There's a bunch of super talented artists whose work will be displayed, so be sure to familiarize yourself, and if you're in the area, def peep it out!

Well it's high time for another blog post. Like always, a lot went down since the last one. I'll just go over the highlights and the more recent stuff I guess.

First of all, here's some pin-ups I've done for some peoples' books in the past few months...

This ran in #2 of the new God Hates Astronauts series by the one and only Ryan Browne at Image Comics. You should be buying that book:

This pin-up was for my buds Jai Nitz and Greg Smallwood's Dream Thief and ran in Dream Thief: Escape #4 from Dark Horse Comics. First is the inks, followed by the color:

This is for the homies Damon Gentry and Aaron Conley's amazing comic Sabertooth Swordsman! I believe it will be in the second OGN which is in progress now, and out next year:

This is one I did for Mike Norton's third Battlepug collection from Dark Horse Comics:

This is a pinup for probably my most anticipated book of 2015, Long Walk to Valhalla from Archaia by Adam Smith and Matt Fox. Those guys are so great at making good comics. Everyone should check out that book this year:

Next are a couple covers that I did. The first is a retailer incentive variant cover for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #40 from IDW comics. It was a dream come true to work on the Turtles. WOO. The second is the C2E2 exclusive variant cover for Spread #6 or #7 from Image Comics for my friend Kyle Strahm. It's a really cool book.

Caleb Goellner, my pal and writer of Task Force Rad Squad, also had the first issue of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles New Animated Adventures comic which he wrote come out from IDW. It's #19. Check it out:

Here are a few other processy drawings from the next issue of TFRS and other random stuff I don't have time at the moment to explain in greater detail:

Also Robot6 over at Comic Book Resources previewed some art from Caleb and my story "Slothed in Space" which will be in an upcoming issue of Dark Horse Presents:

Here's a track from my latest beat release with the Outer Peoples:

Aaaaannnd here's a time-lapse of me drawing a panel from TFRS #3:

And here's a video of me making a beat:

Here are all the comic shows I'm scheduled to be at so far this year. If you're interested in preordering a commission prior, to pick up at one of them, please contact me:

-Planet Comicon, KC
-Emerald City Comicon, Seattle
-Cape Con, Cape Girardeau
-C2E2, Chicago
-Heroes Con, Charlotte
-Kansas City Comicon, KC
-Cincy Comicon, Cincinnati
-New York Comicon, NY

That's all I can think to post about for now.

Wow, it's been FOREVA since I updated this blog. BOUT TIME!

I've been waaay bizzy. I'll just start by posting a bunch of junk that I've been up to recently and semi-recently. Here goes...

Caleb Goellner and myself put out TASK FORCE RAD SQUAD #2 last month! Due to Ryan Hill (colorist of TFRS #1) being amazing, he was busy coloring the fantastic JUDGE DREDD: MEGA CITY 2 miniseries, drawn by the homie Ulises Farinas, so yours truly did the color work this time around (& the pencils, inks, and letters). You can download the issue pay-what-you-want (along with #1 and the Cakestor mini-comic) HERE. Here's the cover and the first 5 pages:

Sooo, here's a little 6 page Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan comic that Caleb Goellner and myself made. Directly following the pages are a couple download links for .pdf and .cbz versions with some additional stuff included in them.

Also, if you liked this Ninja Turtle fan comic please take a moment to check out TASK FORCE RAD SQUAD, the creator owned comic that Caleb and myself do. The first (32 page) issue is pay-what-you-wish for a digital copy, available HERE in various formats. You can also order print copies of the first issue HERE.
